Pretty cool except for the part where I was really terrified and now my knees are all dizzy.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

DJ, you are not. right.

Trust my rage

I weep for this generation. I just spent 2 minutes explaining that "Washington" is the city and "DC" is the state, for the purpose of ordering a pair of shoes. *sigh*

And I thought "Puerto Rico *is* part of the United States" was pretty bad.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

But I have now shared and feel better now that it doesn't solely live in my brain.

That's just mean, DJ. Sharing isn't always nice.

So I'll share - Gracie's feeling better.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

If you are a Star Trek fan, you will probaly like this.

If you aren't, it'll get the video DJ linked to out of your brain.

Gracie is just so beautiful. I love the "es muy perfecto" picture.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Those fights are hilarious.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Pretty Gracie!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's the best Gracie picture ever!

I did make chili, and it was delicious, although it will be better tomorrow. And possibly tomorrow I'll have Fritos with it. Yay chili!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Oh, pretty pretty Gracie!

My mother and I made a joint decision this year to skip the mashed potatoes - between two kinds of stuffing, the butternut squash, and all the pies, we came to the conclusion that there was more than enough starch on the table and that nobody would miss them. And you know, nobody did, until we mentioned we'd left them out deliberately, and then all of a sudden they were everyone's* favorite food. Hmph.

*Except, of course, for my father who shuns all carbs according to a set of rules he calls the "no funnel cakes" diet.

I've finally finished uploading all the Thanksgiving pics and am amazed to find that there is not one picture of Dylan enjoying his Thanksgiving sweet potatoes! In retrospect, I probably told my sister (who took most of those) to keep the camera away while he was eating, but still, you'd think one out of the 130+ pictures we took of him in the past week would have yielded one of him wearing his "baby's first Thanksgiving" bib. I hereby turn in my geek parenting card.
