I list things as low as 25 cents, but that is just because getting to a PO is easy for me and they all have the Auto-machines. Anything that does not sell in this batch is getting donated to my library.

Nah. It's like 20 or 30 cents for things you list fairly cheaply (like, under ten bucks) and then some percentage of the sales price - like 5%, I think? Some people make money off the shipping too, though for things like books I'd be careful with that. IIRC, a paperback book ships bookrate for something in the neighborhood of $1.50 - 1.75, so I think I used to just say $2 shipping. It's been a while since I did this though.

There's some professional seller fee where you pay a lump sum and then don't pay as much per item or whatever, which I assume is where all the one cent sellers come from.
I dunno, but I just listed four hardcover books I got for free, so we'll see what happens.

I think the 1 cent people are generally pretty high volume. So the 1 c. is an attempt to attract more bidders and push the price up, but without having to worry too much about any individual item. Also, what I said about shipping costs - some people price low but really inflate there to make more money.

you don't set shipping on amazon, they have a set fee thing they give you. At least they way I sell. Whatever, they are listed and it is no big loss or profit either way. No one had requested them off me on bookcrossing, so at least they may find homes.
