I'm formatting a new 250 GB portable firewire drive and I need a good name for it. All of my hard drives and partitions are named after fictional starships. Anyone have good suggestions?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I'm afeared to ask, as it might take all day to read through the list, but which ships do you already have?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I think you've already used my favorites.

Maybe something more obscure? Like, say, the Yorktown (or other federation starships from ST:TOS)?

eta: or the Constellation (from The Doomsday Machine)?

The current fleet includes:

Galactica, Daedalus, Prometheus, Heart of Gold, Nimbus, Korolev, Red Dwarf, Serenity, Augira, Betta, Loenov, Sulaco, Moya, Odyssey, Star Bug, Swordfish II, Bebop, Cygnus, Palomino...um, those are all the ones that came to mind, but I know there are a few others.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

How about The Venture, from this [link] classic book which you all should read RIGHT NOW.

Okay, I have to tell my total geek Khan story. I did a show a few years ago in the Ricardo Montalban Theatre here in LA and at one point during tech while the crew was working on stage I ran up to the balcony, stood on the edge and yelled "KHANNNNNNNNN!" at the top of my lungs. Most people had no idea what I was doing but 3 of the crew almost fell over laughing.

Also, as a result of that gig I have Ricardo's voice giving the preshow announcement on my hard drive.
