I remember a slow day in grade school, when I was sitting in a desk next to the teacher's desk. There were a bunch of papers on his desk, and I saw my name at the top of a list of kids in the class. I leaned a little closer and saw it was sorted by something called MIQ. Mine was 140-something. I asked the teacher what that was when he got back to his desk, and he got all flustered and said, "You're not supposed to see that!" and shuffled the papers in a drawer. Nothing like a flustered teacher to make a kid take note.
I think I've lost points since then, and I have no idea what the criteria were on that particular print out. I know I wouldn't be able to work my way around math problems with the same dexterity as when I was in school.
If all y'all keep talking about IQ, I'm going to seek out an online test and take it and then either cry or brag.
I was thinking about that, too.......
Laura! I haven't posted with you in ages.
Kat! Yeah, I've been buried and just subbed to this thread again today because I am doing super boring stuff at work that lets me play. Whee! How are the babies? I enjoy seeing the pictures, but haven't been in here to see any updates.
Poor Bill Nye. Good grief.
Kids getting eaten by bears sounds like some sort of deranged background image for putting Kings 2:23-24 on.
Maybe there
is
a way for you to be more involved at church!!!!!
I've never taken an IQ test. I'm thinking it is high enough to be brilliant without being so high as to make me bizarre.
I just remembered to watch the Noah videos Lori posted a few days ago. Holy cute!
Baby Devon Rexes!
Awww... cute! I love their flat-ish heads and huge ears.
I'm kind of happy about the trade-offs of mental processes that come with age though. I no longer feel sharp enough to write an incisive treatise about the blood motif in Macbeth, but by the same token I didn't have a panic attack when I had to get my car towed out of a ditch this February, and that would have had me freaking out like Daffy Duck at 18.

You probably have. Schools were pretty good at stuffing them in with other things when I was a kid -- I think that was the norm.
