Huh. OK. I"m wondering, if 100 is supposed to be "average", at what point people are noticeably smarter/dumber than average.
Among the people I know, I think everyone can be pretty relatable on a normal conversational level up to about IQ 155. The ones higher than that tend to have the brain-in-a-jar quality, where you get a sense that no amount of explanation will let you understand what they're thinking.

I suspect the online IQ tests always score the user high so the user will want to buy their complete report for further ego stroking. Maybe I'm just too cynical though.

Oddly, when I've taken them just to see, the results tend to be very close to what I tested at in gradeschool.
It may not mean much though, as I know people who give up 20 points to me that are much better informed and on the ball, and at least one that has a 15 point advantage and shouldn't be allowed to leave the house unsupervised.
