Jayne: That's a good idea. Good idea. Tell us where the stuff's at so I can shoot you. Mal: Point of interest? Offering to shoot us might not work so well as an incentive as you might imagine.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

HBD, Mr. flea!

I have been reminding myself that I really shouldn't try to do anything complex before food and caffeine. Of course, I have been reminding myself of this while cleaning up the results of forgetting.

Happy Birthday Mr. Flea.

Okay, Air Canada is having 50% off today. I can get a flight home for Xmas for reasonably cheap ($99 each way, which trust me, is cheap for flights home), but my supervisor isn't here to okay my days off. I should just book it and see if it's okay later, right?

Actually -- are your coworkers around so you can see when they are taking off? Unless your boss is an ass, coverage is usually the only reason they care when you're gone.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Definitely book today -- asking forgiveness is better than waiting for permission in this case!

I've still got my cold, but so far it's better than it was yesterday. I foresee a lot of sitting around and chugging orange juice and reading in bed today. And probably for Thursday, too.

We had a staff meeting yesterday and we talked about Xmas holidays, and it seems that most people are taking off the time between Xmas and New Years, and I always go home before Xmas to help my mom out and come back on Boxing Day or the day after.

Anyway, I just booked it! Yay, no 7 hour bus rides!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Not even 8AM, and someone has wanted to talk to me. About work. Not good.

I mean, fine, I'm here in the office, but that's really only a formality.

And our temp receptionist got another job somewhere else, so the temp company called this morning to tell us she's not coming back.

And the office decided, after I left yesterday, that we could all wear jeans. WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO KNOW.

Poor stabby Dana. Maybe don't go in tomorrow?

I should be doing more housecleaning, so as to come back to a clean house, but eh.
