Last week's ep was particularly skeevy. I think I keep watching Nip/Tuck mostly because DH has no interest in it so I can put it on while he's at work and have some noise keeping me company while I'm washing dishes, etc. That and my general TV watching inertia.

SUPER ICKY.
Okay, I have just discovered my 79 year old father is on Facebook.
Ha!!
There's just not enough "OMTG!" in the world.
AND! He hasn't even friended me!
In other watching-tv news, I really really really don't understand the need to go shopping at 5am on Friday. The whole concept just makes no sense to me.
I did wrap some Christmas stuff tonight, but it's really a pre-Christmas gift, so it's justified.
AND! He hasn't even friended me!
Double ha!!
Timelies all!
Why am I feeling blechy? I'd better not be getting sick,,,
They're in the cookie aisle. Better than cheesecake filling in a bowl but not as good as Sara Lee Cheesecake Bites. Still, worth a trip to the store. I've already eaten half the package.
I love that you were able to answer this. I'm sad the answer sounds so yummy.
Khan did have a wide stance.
this made me literally laugh out loud. luckily, in my empty apartment, rather than at work.
She's taken an IQ test and rated at 128 overall, bright, but not high enough numbers for the gifted program.
Dude! How gifted do you have to be to be in the gifted program?
My parents would never tell us our IQs. They didn't want us to get swelled heads--or taunt each other (considering the SAT score debacles...). These days, I'm just worried that whatever they told me, I'd be disappointed. I'd be all "Wait, what? 128? I thought i was *smart*, man!".
Also, I think I was accused of being outgoing, or at least socially well adjusted, by one of my colleagues last week
Does this speak poorly to the social adjustment of the new colleagues? Oh dear...
A global warming group is having a meeting in Bali prior to the big conference. They are interested enough in the work I've done that they are willing to pay for a plane trick, hotel and meals for me to come.
That is SUPER cool. I wanna go to Bali on someone else's dime!
t's not like NOW is making a huge campaign against that ad, as far as I can tell. They have a whole page of offensive ads:
Some of those ads are ANCIENT! And at least a couple of them they're really stretching to find "offensive" (the Ralph Lauren ad, of a woman leaning back against a tree, with her shirt half open. OK, gratuitous, but offensive?? concentrate on the important stuff!) I have seen that D&G ad before, and I do find it super gang-rape creepy, though.
Ah, so you don't believe "calling bullshit" is a perfectly valid debate technique like I do. I also employ the "eyeroll" and the "What are you on????" techniques.
Heh. It's because I know I'm not good at NOT doing these techniques that I try to stay out of debates...
As a non-white, I submit y'all want a cupcake and not even a muffin. If it scales up to a cake, it's cheating to call it a muffin
I DO want a cupcake. Probably not a blueberry one. But a muffin really is cake.
