I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Withnail and Pie

We want the finest pies in the world and we want them right here and we want them right now!

I will not be dedicating my life to stripping wallpaper, but it is pretty satisfying. Got maybe 75% of the breakfast nook done, maybe a little more. Fortunately, the breakfast nook is all I have to do. Had my mom's help today, which was nice, and my dad went around filling nail holes and spackling cracks while the rest of us peeled paper off the walls. A pleasant and productive day, which I must try to remember when my shoulders are all sore in the morning and I need to force them to get that last bit of paper stripped. It's up close to the ceiling and in the corner, of course.

Also picked out the paint color for the bathroom, it's called Dim Sum, which just delights me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Got to snuggle with Noah. That was nice. And it's been a while since I've chatted with Kat too.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Lucky.

I got to hear D's monologues and T's baby babbling in the background of a phone call.

Newp, not as great as baby snuggling. I miss thiat. Warm human lumps that smile fix a lot of sore spots.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Even though Noah was fussier than I'd like, he was still mostly a good egg. He's still asleep and I'll let him sleep more before I feed him again.

I accidentally forgot dog food. Oops. I gave the dog a bowl full of liver treats as a bribe and he seemed more than happy to accept.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I cannot sleep. I am so overcaffeinated, I may never sleep again.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Aww, yay for ita Noah snugglage. Snugglage. Snugglage snugglage. Hee.

Anyway, yay.

And also, we totally did that for Seabiscuit a couple of times. We order his, so it takes a few days to ship, and we haven't yet quite worked out the right times to order. But his treats are from the same company, so he seemed quite happy with a bowl of crunched up treats as a substitute.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I would like to snuggle with Noah! Maybe I should plan a trip to see my friend who moved to the suburbs with a new baby....

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Or a trip to LA.
