I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I am also up at ass o'clock. Certainly far too early for a non-work morning.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I know WHY I'm up (and now in class, slacking), but I don't know what your excuse could possibly be. Go back to bed for me, K?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I'm watching QI. And I'll have a nap later.

According to Stephen Fry, the first Native American that the Pilgrims met when they landed in 1620-whatever spoke fluent English, having crossed the Atlantic six times. He asked them for beer.

The first words actually spoken from the surface of the moon were not uttered by Neil Armstrong, but by Buzz Aldrin, who was piloting the landing craft.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I think those words were, "Contact light. OK, engine stop." ("Contact light" meant the long probes that stuck out below the landing gear had touched the surface of the moon.)

Buzz Aldrin was also the first to relieve himself on the moon.

eta: Actually. Armstrong was piloting the Lunar Lander. Aldrin was assisting by reading out data from the computer and instruments.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

"Deutchland, Deutchland uber alles" are no longer the first words of the German national anthem.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

What are they now? "We're really sorry"?

Heh. That crossed my mind.

Sorry about that
Won't happen again....

Yeah, sort of. They adopted the third verse of the anthem, which was the least militaristic and bombastic.

Unity and justice and freedom
For the German fatherland;
For these let us all strive,
Brotherly with heart and hand.
Unity and justice and freedom
Are the pledge of happiness.
