The thing about Uggs is that they don't appear to be very watertight. I imagine they're warm and comfortable, but I wouldn't want to get caught in a storm or walk through the snow in them.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ooh, those LLBean boots are gorgeous. And probably worth the money, especially if they are going to be your everyday boots all winter.

I am still full from lunch. Bleh.

hip deep in pie

Warmth- It can get really cold in Rochester and I wear skirts every day. When I wear a coat that is long enough to cover my calves, it is a pain in the ass to organize it and my fairly large body and my bag on the bus so that I am not taking up two seat! So legwarmers seem to work!

Legwarmers! On cold days when I walk, I wear leggings over tights, which I then take off when I get to work. Toasty!

I have no boot advice. I really liked my last pair, I think they were Cougars (!).

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Uggs look like glorified slippers to me. Like you were taking out the trash and then just left them on a whoops here you are at the bank in not-real shoes.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Mine are awesome and I love them and wear them constantly.

With your gauchos?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Why you shouldn’t order a custom cake from Wal-Mart

I couldn't figure out what the cake was supposed to say until I read it in the post.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Oh tommyrot, I am in tears from that link! That very thing has happened to me so many times when I am emailing our web master to update the website. I always end up with things like "insert hyperlink" or "bold this" in the text of our website!

Also, I like shearling, but I am afraid of the non-waterproofness of Uggs. My favorite boots ever were a pair of rust colored lace up shearling boots with a wedge heel that were from the 70's. They were fairly waterproof, they must have had some treatment. When I was moving my now ex-boyfriend threw them out. This was about 10 years ago, and I am still wishing I had them. The LLbean boots above are the closest I have seen to them
