So far, on my second day of work. I still cannot login to the computer (I am logged in as one of my co-workers right now.) and I've already lost my keys. (you need keys to travel to the staff only floors on the elevator, and to get into the vaults.

And woo hoo! We got out direct deposit slips today and it includes our increase AND the retro pay. . . oooh, I can SHOP.
OTOH, schools have suspended (and I think expelled) students for stuff done off-campus outside of school hours....
Yeah, I mean I can see that for certain things especially if there is a legal issue, but in this case, if this is just a website put up with no connection to the school, I don't see the school having a reason to suspend the students. OTOH, if a student puts up a website where he/she blogs about wanting to kill other students or something like that, then you'd want the school to take some action. The details are pretty important, but I'd defer to free speech unless there is some threat involved. Threat is pretty subjective though.

And I admit, there's a part of me that thinks, "You're under 18. You have no free speech yet."
Which, not entirely rational, I know, but it seems that if the kids are practicing their "free speech" by having pictures of themselves taken with things that are illegal, they give that up. In Michigan, it is illegal for anyone under the age of 18 to possess a firearm in public unless they are under the direct supervision of an adult. If it is true that those pictures were taken on school grounds, with no adult supervision, then the school should be considered public and the kids should not only be expelled, but arrested also. And if the gun laws can't hold em, get them for the drugs.
Huh. It's not just that I'm sleepy. I actually feel kind of sick. It took me quite a while to figure that out.
Stupid allergies. Stupid weather. 85 degrees in the middle of November is a bit much, even for winter-hating me.

I finally have movers booked, so now I am going to see if I can get a walkthrough of the new apartment today to take measurements and draw out my floorplan grid.
Well if the kids have actually done something illegal then game over. If they really didn't do anything strictly illegal, then I'd call it matter of if this was done at school.
On the surface it sounds like the parents should be upset with the kids, and not suing the school regardless of free speech or whatnot. I don't want to condemn the parents though as there may be details that I don't know about.
