Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I still can't quite grasp height without the t sound.

I was originally thinking of it WITH the "th" sound and said it badly.

Also, no day off sucks and is unamerican.

Wordy McWordia.

I'm at work today, too, but I'm good with that since all the no-long-weekends this fall lead to a full week off next week for Thanksgiving.

Actually, I didn't even realize until about an hour ago that ordinarily I would have it off. I'm just grumpy because I am so. damn. tired and there's really nothing to do for it. I showed movies Friday, so today they really have to be working.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

This weekend I changed over my closets for winter. Today I was reminded that this wool sweater has a hole in it. Maybe for the second winter in a row. Bon needs to get herself a second brown sweater.

At least I'm wearing purple tights, though I'm not budging from the portable heater.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

For lunch today, I'm having the Au Bon Pain version of grilled cheese sammich and tomato soup -- tomato bisque soup and a cheese "bagel." Yum. Although I'd still rather be at home!

Happy Birthday, Jessica!!!

Today, it's already 60+ degrees here, so I pulled out one of my summer t-shirts to wear to work. Now, I'm really confused as to what coat I should bring with to New Jersey next week. I'll probably split the difference and bring my trench coat with the zip-out lining.

I'm taking a 1/2 day off tomorrow to get together with Dad and pick up some stuff he wants me to take out to my brother's next week, so between that and leaving for the coast on Friday, I only have to work 3 1/2 days. Not too bad!

Here in NYC it's supposed to be 60 tomorrow but back to highs in the mid-40s by Friday, AFAIK.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

K-Bug is working on what to pack for her Boston weekend. She does not own a coat atm...though I believe she is out shopping for one today.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Random question: Do you pronounce the 't' in 'often'?

Yes. Also, I can't believe no one has gone down this road:

GEN. I ask you, have you ever known what it is to be an orphan?
KING. Often!
GEN. Yes, orphan. Have you ever known what it is to be one?
KING. I say, often.

I was thinking it, juliana. If that counts.

Hey, shrift, Fall Out Boy is performing at some big concert down here in December. You should come. (I know you can't actually come, plus I have a Christmas concert that night (December 9th), but I thought I'd mention it so we can imagine the fun we would have had.)
