"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

How to get your ass kicked circa 1977

This is why I shudder when anyone talks about '70s-inspired fashion. I remember the '70s and they were Not Pretty.

You can't have pink monsters, Sox?

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

G's cousin and his wife are coming over to see the house and the kittens this evening, so we need to do a quick cleanup.

The rest of the weekend will be pretty quiet, with a few errands to be done. Like getting a new brake light for my car. Whee.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

My accomplishments for today so far include a) making an icon and b) eating last night's leftover bread.

I definitely need to get more ambitious.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

I've done nothing today except make and eat breakfast.

But last night we got a coat of shellac down on the living room floor, and it looks spiffy. Of course, now I'm sore from crawling around on the floor with a paintbrush for 2 hours, so I'm going to take a hot bath to loosen stuff up, and then do yoga. Seriously, I'm so sore right now that I don't want to do yoga without sitting in a hot bath first.

That's a just sad. Shellacking the floor should NOT make me this sore.

After yoga, throw in laundry and work on freelance stuff. After that, family birthday party.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

walked dog, picked up dry cleaning, fed dog

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's exciting, Steph! And anything on the floor seems like it would make anyone sore, just because it's not how you usually use your body.

I'm with Jesse -- perfectly sore-making

hip deep in pie

That was TWO YEARS ago?

I know!

I have been at work for 4.5 hours doing something that I thought would take an hour. Bleah!

Okay, I'm about to delete all my bookmarks from this computer. Good-bye from the place I've probably spent the most time posting from over the years!
