I wanna die in bed surrounded by fat grandchildren, but guess that's off the menu.

Honestly, that's what I feel like doing, but it isn't an option since the next weekend I'm going out of town.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Okay, you know what? Weekend starts now.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have to go to the library, do a shitload of laundry, bring some stuff to the drycleaner, possibly Target, and also get a massage.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

This weekend I am: painting, painting some more, maybe a little sanding, a little priming, probably buying some more paint and doing a little more painting.

My landlord wants to show our current living space on Sunday. It's stressing me out, even though logically I'm pretty sure I don't have to care.

you don't really have to care, you have a house. but maybe you don't want strangers judging you

That's it in a nutshell, beth. After so many years of needing to be on the landlord's good side, it's hard to turn that impulse off.
