Aw, sumi, thank you so very much for that. I'm tearing up at my desk reading it. I'd forgotten just how much I loved Rickie, loved Cruz's performance and just what an incredibly sweet, thoughtful person he always is in interviews.
Were you friends?
Oh, absolutely. We'd have sleepovers at Claire's. And Devon Odessa [who played Sharon] and I would always hang out; she was my buddy. We'd always end up at A.J. Langer's [Rayanne] house and her mom would cook for us. It was like being in high school.
Between that and everything he had to say about the scene where Rickie admits to Delia he's gay and then realizes that he's never said it out loud before, I really am bawling. Now I have to go wipe my eyes, blow my nose, and make some cocoa in my commemorative thanks-for-your-doomed-efforts-to-save-MSCL mug.
Also, of course, porn, though I think everyone else's porn is a lot more high-powered than mine.
