Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
who knew she was a Super Hero?? I guess we were all duped by that hot disguise. Way to go on sniffing the fire before it spread.
So, two gifts of note yesterday. My sister, for the 1st time ever, gave me blah clothes. Usually she gives me something good with color that I'd actually wear. This year she gave a blah black Gap jacket. I really don't need another jacket. So? Do I return it today? Or wait for the mad post Xmas season to exchange?
I'll tap about the 2nd when I get to work with a real keyboard.
Our apartment looks like a whole bunch of bombs went off in it. It desperately needs cleaning. This will likely not happen until tomorrow or the next day.
No fires! I'm glad you guys are okay!
{{{JZ}}} What everyone else said, honey. Just let him know what happened. It will be fine, truly.
Mornin' sweetie! Does the family like the new car?
I seem have made chickpea soup instead of hummus. I followed the directions. TCG is picking up more cans of chickpeas now.
Mmmmmmm, at home, wearing inside pants but am working. And eating nummy fruitcake. And listening to K-Bug cough and blow her nose.

Aimee is a BIG DAMN HERO - even before the great Christmas eve morning fire that wasn't.
Aimee is indeed a big damn hero. But, man, I knew smoking could kill you; I just didn't know its evil plots involved things like flowerpots. Very tricksy, smoking, but Aimee totally outfoxed you this time!
I still miss my boss terribly.
Big big hugs, JZ. Sorry S and I missed you yesterday, or we would have given you the hugs in person. It was very good for both of us to see David and Emmett for the twenty minutes or so we were there. And afterwards, we discovered the deliciocity of the River Ganges, the little indian place down the street from you.
Oooh, yes, I forgot about the Ganges! Totally veggie and vegan friendly -- it used to be incredibly mediocre, but it reopened under new management a couple of years ago and is vastly improved. Plus, kids get free mango lassis.
I was very sorry to miss both of you, but Hec said there was plenty of quality hugging, and that S. reported feeling much, much better, so I'm very glad of that.
She's feeling better than she has in a long time. It has become retroactively apparent that this was something that has been building up for several months, and it was just happening so slowly that we didn't notice until she started bleeding out and needed to be rushed to the ER.
She's basically had a stent put in to bypass her liver and relieve the pressures that were causing her various bleeding problems. Of course, no she has no filter for her blood, and that will probably cause other problems as we go on, but hopefully those problems can be controlled with drugs. And ultimately, if it becomes too much of a problem, the stent is undo-able. They can take it out and put her liver back into the equation (though her bleeding problems may well return).
Still, right now she's feeling better than she has in a very, very long time.

Glad S is feeling better - and just in time for Christmas!
GF had to work today but is off at noon. I am waiting for FedEx to redeliver so I have her big gift (a nice leather iPhone case that I hope she likes). I need to shower and go to the grocery but not in the mood to do either. GF needs to be here cause she motivates me to get my ass in gear. I'd be content to sit here in my jammies and play online all day.
