Little Boss (who is leaving in January.
::sob::)
just got me the sweetest gift.
The other day I gave him a book he had mentioned a few months ago. (Stillborn God by Mark Lilla). In the course of talking about it I mentioned that a) I nearly kept it and b) another book I had seen (Wikinomics).
Today he gives me a B&N gift card AND Wikinomics with something sweet written in it.
You know, he really could have just stuck with the honkin big gift card but, no, he's all thoughtful and stuff. Now he's walking around giving out gift cards to various other folks. He's just so dear.
Man am I going to miss him.
The problem is, of course, that they are doing this to count down to Christmas, which is, in every possible way, wrong. Whoever came up with this idea at the examiner needs to have their head caved in with a wikipedia entry for the twelve days of Christmas, printed out and wrapped around a very large brick.
Oh, if you did this, it would give me great joy. It annoys me to no end when people think it's a half-assed Advent thing.
By the way, Yay! on S getting out of the hospital! ~ma continues for her and you.
windsparrow - smart is better than hat anyday, IMHO.
Heh heh heh. Thanks, Sox. I shall endeavor to keep it up, then.
um, could it have been "I slipped in front of your house!"
Huh. Hadn't thought of that, but very possible. Our front porch is rather icy. (Someone was supposed to be picking up a back of clothes and stuff that we were donating to the Vietnam Vets organization.)
Timelies, everybody!
Sean, that's awesome to hear! Safe, comfortable travel home-ma.
So far I have received hot chocolate, cashews, and cookie mix from coworkers, and have given out jam.
It's a vast conspiracy to make each other fat.
And heaven knows, Emily, if you pack on any more pounds, you won't be able to fit out your front door. You might collapse under your own gravitational pull or something!
I lost my morning post and didn’t have time to recreate it, but many questions may have been answered.
May Kristin have slept soundly and woke with a relaxed happy neck.
Coffee machines that shout when they are done are rude. My mom’s startles me every time.
Fabulous review, vw. I’d love to hear them sometime. Also, thanks for bringing on the snow. It’s very pretty.
{{Stephanie}} The end stage of pregnancy is so very uncomfortable. Oooof.
Nice Neighbors of Nora, hurry up!! (Oh, I see you made it, and yay for chipperness)
um, could it have been "I slipped in front of your house!
Thank was my first thought too. 28 years in Florida have not made me forget ice.
It’s good to read that S is being released. Have a safe and uneventful trip home.
Hi Epic! Long time no see.
It looks like I am stuck in the office a while because we are expecting the FedEx guy. Bah. I have other stuff to be doing.
Hi Laura!
Smooch!
Good to be here!
Got my grade for my Accounting Class - a very (well, somewhat) surprising A!
Now, everybody cross your fingers for a similar surprise from my Econ class!
