Most people is pretty quiet right about now. Me, I see a stiff -- one I didn't have to kill myself -- I just get, the urge to, you know, do stuff. Like work out, run around, maybe get some trim if there's a willin' woman about... not that I get flush from corpses or anything. I ain't crazy.

Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Sean - I'm nearby-ish. (Not to steal javachik's thunder, though.) Can I bring you anything? Actually - I know Specialty's will deliver to CPMC. Can we send you anything?

Ann, that's a ferret.

My confusion, Sean.

Suzi, you might want to get a citation -- something written for Sean and S to point the social worker to.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

They've brought me a guest tray (mmmmm, gross hospital food....), so I'm good for now, but.....

Gawd, it's so rough. I want to be "self reliant, I need no help" guy, but I'm also thinking that's really stupid, and I need to let that go. I guess it just feels like if I let that go, it will be harder to be strong for S. But it's still stupid and I still need to let it go.

I just don't know what help to ask for.

Still, if javachick, or any of the rest of you need to feel generous, I can't deprive you of that. Call incoming, java.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Fred Pete - I'm looking, but the Medi-Cal site bites at providing information. I'm not seeing anything saying the anti-rejection meds are NOT covered, but I'm also not seeing anything saying they are.

I did find a link to their formulary, so when I get home I'll get a list of mom's anti-rejection meds and see if they are on the list.

Our wings are not tired.

if I let that go, it will be harder to be strong for S.

Think of it this way: when your basic needs are met, you will be stronger for S.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I guess it just feels like if I let that go, it will be harder to be strong for S.

(Inevitable x-post, I just know it)

Pumpkin, if you're not taking care of yourself, it's hard to be strong for other people.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Sean, think of it as adding our support to the strength you already have. You are holding up amazingly well, and deciding to accept help is very very smart.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I just don't know what help to ask for.

Where are you staying? Is that working out?

Do you want company in the hospital?

Do you want someone to go have a drink/meal with just to get away for a bit?

Do you want homecooked food?

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I suspect the cafeteria people have seen plenty of meltdowns, Sean. That's where I usually go to meltdown away from my loved ones.

It would be so great if Suzi's mom can help talk y'all through this. The medical system in this country is completely broken. I wish there was more I could do from the other side of the country.

In the much less pressing "I have a loose tooth" news, I saw the dentist and she says she doesn't want to pull the crown out and recement it until after the holidays because if there is something broken, there wouldn't be any crown-repairing people or gum surgeons around. So I get to spend the next two weeks chewing with the left side of my mouth.
