I think one of these days I'm going to track down every one of Fay's posts from her world travels and save them in a special file that I can burn to CD so I can have my own personal Fay-book.
Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
That's a good idea, connie.
Yay produce delivery! I'm tempted to do that, but since it would come from a farm less than 5 miles away I would feel really lazy getting delivery.
Good luck, Suzi!
The Monkey Math story just came back around on NPR - it's a pretty specific type of problem that the monkeys do well on, and the Duke students weren't given enough time to count. I recall a million years ago on Real People or one of those shows a story about some group supposedly teaching babies to do calculus using similar pictures-of-dots techniques.
This is so funny because I had a dream that P-C was my college roommate, which is extra funny because I told someone in my dream, "Well, that's not his real name and I've never met him" both of which are true, but don't relaly make sense for a roommate.
Ha! Was this the same night as meara's dream? I was busy that night.
Was this the same night as meara's dream?
I think my dream was not last night but the night before. I remember thinking I should post about it but I totally forgot until I read meara's post.
good luck SuziQ!
P-C, you should probably take the day off and rest. Who knows where you'll be deployed tonight...
Just popped on to say that I slept for ten hours and feel better than I have in weeks. I don't know if I'll get everything done that I need to, but I don't regret listening to my body (and aurelia, of course).
Suzi, good luck!
askye, yay, B!
Fay, although my travels are nowhere near as extreme, I know exactly what you mean. When I go home to CT in the summer, it looks impossible green and lush compared to SoCal.
Hi sweetie.
Hey you. I'm trying to get motivated to get up, shower, and drive into work. It's not working just yet.
Congrats, askye!
But hearing about everyone's experiences in math here has really changed me. I'm actually looking forward to it and going to go into the class with an open mind. And I was going to put it off, but I think I'll take that in the Fall.
Seriously! I was dreading statistics like I can't tell you and I ended up kinda enjoying it and pulling a B+. I was shocked (and really proud). You can totally do it!
I was looking over my trascript yesterday and my bad grades really don't match the classes that I expected to be difficult - they are much more of a reflection of what was going on in my life and distracting me from school.
The classes I most dreaded have decent grades. Go figure.
