Early: Where'd she go? Simon: I can't keep track of her when she's not incorporeally possessing a space ship. Don't look at me.

Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thanks, Karl. I'll probably just spend the night at my dad's place, where we've been staying, but I'll keep everyone posted, and send you an email, if I need anything.

Sean. Sorry about S. Hope it turns out to be something minor...

Yeah, I guess. She probably is. And yet, there wasn't quite as much awkwardness and tension as I'm used to in these sort of "shit, who's going to make the first move?" situations. Hrm.

And its' true, I am reluctant to make a big move, because if she's not into it (but my otehr friends at the party totally thought she was! And...the staying! For the movie!) that WOULD be awkward, with a whole group of new friends.

I even put on the Thomas Crown Affair. At the end, she siad she liked the art parts, but the romance bit was cheesy. Sigh.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

You should invite her over for the original Thomas Crown Affair with Faye Dunaway and Steve McQueen (I think) Romance is less cheesy. and it's a good movie!

Huh. That's a lot like what happens in New England. Very polite. Nice to see you. Go away now, please.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Hi! I think I'm drunk. But the laundry's done. How odd that these two things could happen concurrently. But I'm the only one home so it must have been me. hmm.

What I discovered when I moved here was that people would start treating me like a friend as opposed to an acquaintance about a year after I'd given up on them and pulled up my own social and emotional drawbridges. It baffled me at first--I'd think, "Wait, I thought you didn't like me, and NOW you want to know how my novel is going and want my advice on dealing with your mother-in-law?"

Yep. It takes longer, but the thaw does come. Interesting that Seattle is so similar to the Northeast in that way.
