[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now tagless for your comfort.

DebetEsse, I would have taken you up on it! But still, I wouldn't have made it home tonight.

I'm pretty comfortable at the moment and I will try to get something out of town tomorrow if I can.

House-living advice, please? I seem to have shorted out all the lights in the living room with static electricity. By touching the wall plate. Who knew? Anyway, is this one of those "go flip the circuit breaker" things, or an "oh my god what have you done, call the electrician!" things? I want to know before I venture out into the cold and extremely windy UnderHouse to investigate these things called circuits.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Go flip the breaker, Emily.

I've had to get in the habit of touching my filing cabinet (closest metal object to my desk) before petting a cat to avoid the surprised/angry swat.

Okay.

...er, how? I just flip the switchy thing? Once, or twice?

You know, I swear I used to know this -- like, confidently and well. And now I feel like a 3-year-old. "Mommy, the glowy thing went pop and no glow now!"

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

You flip the switchy thing once, and you're all set. If you flip it, and it flips back immediately, then you go back upstairs and turn stuff off.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Just find the one that's out of line with the others and flip it back in to place.

Sometimes you have to put it all the way in the off position and then flip it back on. The one that has tripped should have a different color (usually red) than all the others showing in the little window.

Of course if you have fuses you have to unscrew the blown one (like a light bulb) and replace it. If it's even older fuses than that (that don't screw in) come back and I'll talk you through that.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Good luck, Emily.

My hands are ice cold. I should go was dishes or scrub the bathroom. I'd rather complain.

No no, they're switchy ones. It's just cold and dark out there, and I have to go ALL the way around the house, and it's cold enough even inside, and whine bitch moan.

Okay, I'm going. If I'm not back in ten minutes... pray for me.

Of course if you have fuses you have to unscrew the blown one (like a light bulb) and replace it.

But don't replace it with a penny. I learned from Archie Bunker that this is Very Bad and may cause a fire that the insurance company won't pay for! See, TV is a good thing. Practical and edumacational.

Oh, and by the way, I appear to be back at Bitches. Glitter and punctuation all around! I needed to be away for a bit, but it's great to be back. I just hope I can keep up!
