Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

All is well that ends in pizza.

In other news...

Canadian man gets $85K cell phone bill.

He signed up for a $10/mo unlimited plan, they gave him a new phone that lets you attach your computer, and he started downloading. He's fighting the charges.

Cell phone companies. Oy.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

This bug is going around.

'Tis the season to go to trial?

I'm hoping Nora gets out OK today - the 1-3 inches we're supposed to get today that creeped to 2-4 inches yesterday has advanced to 4-6, possibly starting as early as noon.

I'm choosing to ignore the 6-10 someone was going on about at the train this morning until I hear it from an actual meteorologist. I swear, people in New England have memories of the weather as consistent as the weather up here itself. When did 4-6 inches (or even 6-10, honestly) become a "ton of snow" in a part of the country that has seen multiple multi-foot nor'easters in the course of a single winter? Any individual snow fall less than a foot prior to January is OK if it doesn't frell up holiday travel. Any snow after January can stay up in the sky, but less than a foot a storm is not that big a deal still.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I am only slightly gimpy today, and still hope to make it to a Christmas party at the Folger Shakespeare Library tonight.

Glad the puppy is safe and that you're only moderately injured. But I'd go to a party at the FSL on a pair of bloody stumps if I had to.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Aimee, I hope that the screaming and flailing means you're having a great time helping to pull this great event together!

I am and I'm still mildly freaked out about what I still need to do. Thankfully, my brother has decided to go to Chelsea tonight instead of staying at our house tonight, so the cleaning that was going to happen tonight is still going to happen, but not at Company Level.

Also? THREE HUNDRED PLUS PEOPLE!!!

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

"Christmas party at the Folger Shakespeare Library" is a lovely phrase, isn't it? I'm glad you think you can hobble there.

Jen, I hope things look better for your friend this morning.

I only have one meterologist I believe here. He's a radio meterologist and never does the "Oh, no, snow, we're going to die" routine. He will also sometimes completely geek out about weather, which is kind of endearing.
