I love it when folks the SF Bay area try to justify their cold-weather wussiness. (The folks who wear winter coats when it's 50 F out.) They'd say things like, "Yeah, but here it's a 'chilled to the bones' cold," or 'Here it's a damp cold." Whatever.
Oh, and when I was in HS we had an exchange student from Finland. She arrived in August when it was 95 F out. Poor thing just hid in her host family's air-conditioned house....
Walking out of work last night I mentioned to a cowworker that it was, "bitter cold". It couldn't have been below 50 degrees. I think I just lost my midwesterner membership card.
Heh. I had this same experience last night, but I lost my New Englander membership card.
it could have been as low as 45 yesterday but still. In Chicago if it was 45 degrees in December we'd put the tops down on the carriages.
Seriously. I felt so ashamed! (Yet, sadly, still cold.)
I just met Emmett! He's real!
He seemed too good to be true.
I think some were saying, "He's too good to be true!"
eta: x-posty.
Oh, because he was on the F2F trip to Alcatraz with a bunch of us, so I guess I figured at least the Bayistas had all met him at some point.
Wait, you were at the F2F? Did I meet you then? I didn't go to Alcatraz.
