and they're expensive to feed and they take up lots of space but we had four kids climbing all over Rex and he never complained. He'd just raise one eyebrow at Dad and kind of sigh.
Back before people cared much about the safety of their children the entire family and Rex would ride in the MGB. Rex got the back seat, my two sisters and my brother sat on the floor behind the front seats and I was in a bassinet at my Mom's feet.
OOh! Get a bear with a long tail!
I'm so glad I grew up with a big dog
bonny, I think I would bluff. I never did at my last place, only to find out others bluffed and were able to stay longer.
re: You're not helping. Neither breed are dogs. They're bears with long tails.
St. Bernards? Malamutes? Newfies?
go wolfhound! choose wolfhound!
Dude, Newfies. Love 'em, but they are the dumbest thing evAR. We had to get rid of ours after she knocked me down for the fifth time just by turning around (I was 3-4). That's where I got the scar on my upper arm from - she knocked me down some concrete steps.
J, I think you may have had a retarded Newfie. My Uncle had a succession of them around his flock of nieces and nephews as we were growing up and they amazing with us.
I think there is a snap shot of each of us at one time or another asleep on one of the Nefws.
