Mom just called, she's going to have eye surgery on Monday. She's a little freaked out, this is all fall out from the surgery she had to correct her torn retina over a decade ago. The doctor at the time used a cheap method, a plastic buckle, and it disingerated. She had surgery previously where they picked out plastic, but evidentally there's still some in there. The doctor is going to correct an area of her eye where there is scar tissue.

This, obviously, isn't the same doctor who did the original surgery. This eye doctor has actually said a good portion of his business is correcting the old doctor's mistakes.

I'll have to take off work and hang out at the out patient surgery center. Last time they didn't knock her out but this time they will because it hurt her so much last time.

Oh, man, I can't imagine being awake for eye surgery. Eep. Hope this next one goes smoothly for her.

Huh. I seem to have applied for a job (internal). The person who is leaving it told me I should, so I did. It's a step up, which is nice. We'll see. I'm not overly invested in it but I'm interested to see where it goes.

Turns out, Joe's Uncle works for ABC. Perks of said job include things that make going "places" cheaper for those wanting to travel to affiliates and or properties of ABC.

Dentist appointment this morning! It was Part II of my cleaning (for my teeth are awful).

a) Love my dentist, he did it himself. The hygenists are great, but since there was some tricksy-ness I appreciated having the man himself.

b) My dentist, once again, was oddly sexy. Teppy would DIE over this man's hands. They're not humongous, they're just sort of very precise and soft and strong. Grrrrr

c) Watched Dr. Who from the chair. Can anyone tell me the ending of the episode with the last Dr. where they found a surviving Dallek in a museum? And why did it break its chains when Rose touched it?

the fact that she's a time traveller gave the Dalek an energy source, or jump start or what have you.
