I swear, we may be approaching the sportspocalypse. The Sox are in the World Series, the Pats are on a 7-0 tear the likes of which I've never seen in all my years of football watching, it looks like the Celtics may be good again this year (if not more than good), and even the Bruins have won their first few games this season. Isn't this unpossible?
If the Sox were playing the Cubs in the WS, I think we'd all be doooooomed.
The Cubs never getting back into the WS is the one thing that will always prevent the sportspocalypse.
Suddenly picturing that "Countdown" broadcast. "Good night and good luck, and may God have mercy on us all." I wonder if he'd still throw the paper at the camera in times of sportspocalypse. But if he didn't, maybe the terrorists would've already won.
I'm in NYC and have to run to a meeting in a few minutes. Either the residual effects of all the smoke in LA is messing my sinuses up, or I've come down with a cold. Either way, this is miserable.
I made chicken soup. Now Matt can have kisses and chicken soup with his drugs so he can be all better. Now, I have work to do for my training tomorrow. not sure if I will finish it today...

I don't know why I'm not yet used to the fact that SoCal burns almost every year. Today I pulled out of the driveway and was quite suprised at the cloud of ashy dust that flew off my hood as I drove up the street.
I was encouraged to hear that Poway, where my sister's evil husband lives, is getting hit pretty hard. Last I heard he was still alive though.
