Fred: It's the pictures in my mind that are getting me. It's like being stuck in a really bad movie with those Clockwork Orange clampy things on my eyeballs. Wesley: Why imagine? Reality's disturbing enough.

'Shells'

Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That's wonderful, vw!

I was getting touchy with the writer, but then he copped to being a grupster. Damned well better. I went to school with him. He was a good friend of Colin's. And I know most of us are grupping still.

I admit I skimmed, but I didn't feel it was about bonding with the kids, but more about not adopting the traditional markers of adulthood. Which I'm perfectly good with.

Most of the time. I figure at some point I'll be mutton dressing like lamb, but until then I've got some superhero t-shirts and short pleated skirts to wear.

Mostly lurking...

And also? I just friended ya.

Friended back!

And thanks, guys. I've actually been pretty actively trying to handle things on my own for a while (specifically, trying to take things off the board and LJ...I mean, let's face it, I was a bit of a drama queen!). It's interesting, though, to reach the point where it's like, "Huh. I'm not just trying; it's actually happening. When did that happen?"

Wow, I didn't know I was beating down an entire generation and forcing them not to develop their own music. Dude, if your music isn't developing, don't blame me.

re: Jilli's book, it sure doesn't hurt to have a successfull pro artist in the mix, ready to go.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Can we blame Billy Idol? Who can hear anything new with him rebel yelling in the background?

The status is NOT quo.

ND, if you're around, could you hop onto AIM?

Can we blame Billy Idol

Only if I can blame in person. I could do a lot of blaming, up close and personal.

The status is NOT quo.

Hm. Hivemind question.

What does one wear to "an evening of entertainment and inspiration...to celebrate the achievements of the Feminist Majority Foundation and Ms. magazine"? I'm thinking dressy (it's an evening event in an LA theatre), but I'm not sure exactly how dressy. Any ideas?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I had to go back and read that article just to see if "Grup" was a ST:TOS reference (it is).
