[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

All this talk about desk toys had led me to realize that the gingerbread scented stuffed gingerbread man who has been lying kind of sideways and halfway hidden by the edge of the safe all year long is suddenly Seasonal Decor so I have given him a place of honor on top of the printer and now he is looking at me like he is really really greateful.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Do Doc Martens keep your feet warm? In like, Michigan-cold weather?

Our wings are not tired

I'm wearing Doc shoes (not boots) here in Toronto and with good socks they are fine.

I've never been in Michigan cold weather, but they've always kept my feet warm, and i have ice blocks for feet.

I'm going to go with: no. When I worked outside in Chicago (which is tropical compared to Michigan) I had waterproof boots with a removable liner. On really bitter days I wore two pairs of tights with cotton socks over them and wool socks over those, plus the boots with the liners. I would wrap a blanket around my feet but I still found my toes starting to numb if I worked a really long shift.

On the other hand if you're just walking from your car to your house Docs should be fine.

And these: [link]

Are the two styles I'm looking at. And it's not for being outdoors for any amount of time - just basic house to car to other place and back use.

gingerbread latte:

Oh man I gotta fill out an incident report and I don't wanna. Apparantly our maintenance guy surprised a homeless person sleeping underneath a screen this morning with two boxes of Skittles. You pried open the candy case and went for the skittles? Wouldn't Goobers or Raisinettes have been more satisfying?

I have an odd job. A 6' tall Mr. Potato Head just walked into the room.

Does he talk like Don Rickles?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

A 6' tall Mr. Potato Head just walked into the room.

You could maybe lure him into a giant microwave....
