Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thrive to spite them

I have my gorilla Scoal the Destoryer (a present from the lovely Tom Scola), who would be happy to join in with the other toys.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

I had a piece of music stuck in my head about an hour ago.

It played for a few minutes, then I identified it as part of the score from "InnerSpace".

...

I don't know what's dorkier: That I correctly identified it, or that it was stuck in my head in the first place.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

What do we know about credit unions?

My Alumni-ness makes me eligible for one. And it seems like a good idea but I don't know what half this stuff MEANS.

F'rinstance, bill consolidation loans, what does: "10% of loan value frozen in share account. " tell me? If I borrow 10k 1k of it stays in my savings account?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I don't know what's dorkier: That I correctly identified it, or that it was stuck in my head in the first place.

The fact that you have a deep seated need to quantify either is what tips it for me.

The status is NOT quo.

Maybe it's because Drew tends not to be a vociferous complimenter, but any compliment from him means more to me than from someone else.

Edited for TMI silliness.

This coming from the woman whose response to her sister's request that you plan her wedding was to clap giddily and say "Yea! I get to make lists!!"

Quantification is the glue that holds us together. I think.

Let me check my notes...

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

credit unions = good. You are not just a customer - you are also an owner. Doesn't mean they don't screw up, but it seems easier to deal with them.

They also are more flexible. My home loan is in the jumbo loan territory - the only place to refi my loan is my credit union - because the laon rate is not at jumbo loan rate.

Y'know, I just realized I can never let Aimée meet my friend Alexia. Alexia is the Queen Of Lists and Planning Things. And wears gauchos.
