Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now tagless for your comfort.

{{Beverly}} I hope you can find a good placement for your mother in such a short amount of time.

We seem to have our financing in order for the new house. We've got some people coming in for estimates on painting this house. I hope we can settle on a good asking price for this one.

I'm completely freaked out by how fast this is happening. I also managed to make contact with a speech therapy program for Owen in Wisconsin so I hope that works out, too.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Laga, I'll cook for you Saturday night. Any requests?

Oooh! I'll help. I've been craving autumnal things like squash.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

{{{Beverly}}} I'll be thinking about you and your family.

In other news, v. busy, but it's good busy.

brillig

Hubby's watching a show on heart transplants and making gallows jokes along with the patients on the show. I'm quietly freaking out and not letting him know how much I'm freaking out.

example: on the show, a doctor says, "What matters is how they feel after the transplant surgery."

Hubby: "Heartless."

Which is funny, but I wish House hadn't been pre-empted by baseball.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

{{Beverly}} Good luck in your search. I'm sure it is a crazy busy time.

KristinT, would you consider the middle of the country? I desperately need someone around that takes up cooking as their passion. Then I need someone else who wants to unwind by doing laundry. And if someone wants to relax by cleaning the house, I wouldn't stop them.

I think the older and more independent my son gets, the lazier I get. It's working out well.

Wow my roommate just offered to make me an omelet. Two people want to cook for me in one day. This kinda makes up for my family forgetting to tape my game show appearance.

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

Oof, Laga. That's harsh.

Congrats on paying off the loan, omnis!

Kristin's food sounds quite yummy.

I had a fabulous birthday. I met some of my friends for dinner, the bartender comped me a free drink, my french onion soup came with paper stuck to the cheese and the waitress put in the wrong steak order but it was all still tasty and for those mistakes we were comped dessert. We all laughed like loons the entire evening. It was perfect.

eh, it's my second game show. They made unbelieveable amounts of much of me over the first one. I was surprised though because Mom and Sis both said, "I'll tape it!" and then when I told them they missed it asked, "why didn't you send an email reminder?" Um, cause I told you the date and time and you said you'd tape it.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Oh, d! Happy Birthday!

Ouch, Laga, I'm sorry. I spaced on setting my Tivo, too. BAD friend. No biscuit. I will try to make up for it when we hang out this weekend. And yes, we can totally do an autumnal meal. I've been craving fall foods too.

Austin, sorry, but I'm pretty much a West Coast gal at this point. Plus, I think ND might be a bit put out if I left him.

I hear you on the needing someone to want to do my chores, though. That laundry sure isn't doing itself.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I was home sick yesterday and still felt pretty lousy but I went to class today.

Got through all my drills except that I'd step out a little toward the end, shake it off, and step back in just as the drill ended. Not bad.

Now I'm just lying here sort of twitching. In that good junkie way.

Oh, and my school is changing their website. Beloved former teacher is going to be on the front page looking all Adonisy. [link] Teased him. Hah.
