I've got two words that are going to make all the pain go away. Miniature Golf.

Mayor ,'Lies My Parents Told Me'

Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Please could I have a lovely British boyfriend?

Oh! Wow, that broke my dream! I dreamt that I randomly met Norah's Tom at some function or other, and rather than being very shy and unchatty (er, as I sometimes find myself - I mean, it can go either way, but when I'm nervous I can either be excessively talky and confident-seeming, or excessively quiet, and weirdly both are perfectly sincere, because I am some kind of shy/confident freakazoid) we nattered away with the banter and the bon mots (which apparently I can't spell), and I remember thinking "Yay! My social skills, let me show them to you!" in a pleasantly surprised sort of way.

Meanwhile, last night our kids' show went v. well. Bless. There was a whole lot of cuteness going on, between dancing angels (dancing to Enigma's 'Return to Innocence' and dancing moonbeams (dancing to the music from 'Kill Bill'), and The Bossy King being bossy, and his servant being amusing and irreverent, and the Virgin Mary being unspeakably cute.

Roll on, Christmas! (She said, in her air conditioned classroom, barefoot* and wearing a flowery summer Mediaval Von Trapp gown with a pink scarf draped over her shoulders, looking out at the sunny courtyard full of palm trees, banana trees and flowering bushes.)

*we don't wear shoes in school. It's a Thai thing.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

It's a Thai thing.
I want to be Thai. Or just to never have to wear shoes. I like barefoot.

Except we've gone to the rainy and cold time. So now I often have socks on too. But in summer, in summer I want to be Thai.

Trust my rage

Sometimes I hate where I live. Last night the power went out twice, there were two cat-in- heat episodes which drives my dogs crazy, and a car alarm woke me up at 4:30.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Bah. Has anyone else here ever lost his or her sense of smell during a cold (and not just due to stuffiness)?

Oh, Stephanie, no fun!

Has anyone else here ever lost his or her sense of smell during a cold (and not just due to stuffiness)?

Yes.

And, my favorite scarf pattern says to work to 72".

That's reassuring, vw. I assume you did get it back eventually? This is all very disconcerting.

{{Stephanie}} not fun, especially when you are pregnant and need your sleep!

ok, I am beyond angry. I sat at the midwife's office for 45 minutes this morning only to hear that she's not coming in today. But she will be there tomorrow. Except that I already took off today and I can't just waste leave hours because I need them formaternity leave. I'm so done with that place.
