The foot is doing fine. I'm walking around on it with no real problems, it's just a bit tender because there was a lot of digging around in it yesterday.

Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
My grandfather once told me a story about when he was a boy and he got this huge sliver (like, a foot long) in his leg and his grandmother wrapped his leg up with lots of bits of onion. After a day, the skin was loose and wrinkled and the sliver was easily removed.
My grandfather would sometimes exaggerate, so I have no idea if this story is true.
It doesn't bug- but I just don't understand the blow up things ( and my sister does it). But what I don't really get is why the front yard - which is the size of a postage stamp must have 4 or 5 different blow up things - that aren't related
Thanks for the baby pictures. now ded.
Sean - you and S get better right now.
No prob, Bug, I knew what you meant in your post, I was just tickled to see the other lights there!
I have a soft spot for lights on houses, even icicles or giant balls or whatever and don't mind the cheese factor, but I hate the blow-ups. Not a very defensible position, I admit.

Robin is me.
Oh Sean. I texted you earlier. Mark Bate is available tonight.
Just got the counter-counter offer; they won't go up on the starting salary. The HR guy was very emphatic that there'll be regular reevaluations and that if things go well I'll bump right along; however, the salary they've offered is actually 1K a year more than their top admin asst salary, and since this position isn't officially an exec or research asst position (both of which start at about 5K above what they're offering), they can't go higher. For now, anyway; he did make lots of "future opportunities" noises and he cheerfully gave in on all the non-money issues I had.
Also, I think I waited too long to eat lunch and now it feels like my head is stuffed with taffy. Probably not the best mindspace from which to ponder big life issues.
I'm sorry, JZ. Did you hear back about the other possible job yet?

Oh goodness. So many names to substitute for his first name. Dear me. Brain overload. Do people at least call him Master or Shark?
Glad the food trying process is going well so far, Sean.

I'm sorry, JZ. But the rest of it sounds promising... Good decision ~ma.
