Thrive to spite them
Mom called, she said G'ma is not doing well. Although she's finally learned her way around the assisted living center her body is just really shutting down. she's having problems walking and feeding herself. And the people there found her in her chair tonight sweating and with low blood pressure.
And Mom's stressing nad I'm afraid she's going to feel guilty about not going home for Thanksgiving, she's was saying "if Mother's alive at Christmas".
I'm not really asking for healing~ma, just for peace, maybe.
And I'm really sad, because I kept hoping that I'd find a way to get up there to see G'ma one more time, because it's been several years since I've seen her. And even though she probably wouldn't have known me, it would have been nice to see her, but now it looks like the next time I'll go up there is for her funeral.
Mom retires in May and she was hoping she'd be able to go up there and spend some time. She wants to be able to go and spend a long time but she just can't right now and it sucks all around.

Me too. It's really uplifting to feel steady improvement in my life at something. My arms are getting stronger, but the real important part is that it makes me feel a little better about myself.
