You'd never make it. I'd rip your spine out before you got half a step. Those little legs wouldn't be much good without one of those.

Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I did get a tattoo. It's so pretty. It's this: [link]

Ooh. Is that from the Book of Kells? It's not one of the more common choices of animal, but the style is very similar.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Ooh, nice. Can't wait to see it in situ.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

beth, was it you that postulated there may have been some survival benefits to AD/HD traits in ages past, and it's modern life that makes those traits get in the way?

When I first was diagnosed with AD/HD Inattentive Type, I saw a therapist for a while to catch up on coping skills I had not learned before the diagnosis. She told me that the great thing about the AD/HD mind is that it sees all the possibilities - the challenge is narrowing the focus down to manageable numbers of those possibilities.

One of the ways I put this to good use at work, is preparing meals when the menu or grocery supplies have gotten FUBAR. I have a talent for being able come up with enjoyable, balanced meals that fit everyone's special needs, yet leaves plenty of supplies for the rest of the week's planned menu. I can see how this kind of thinking has survival value for being able to find ways to make do with limited resources - the possibilities get limited externally, and the kind of mind that quickly sees the few possibilities left, is the kind of mind that survives, and helps its tribe to survive.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

I think so. I found the design back in '02, so I'm not quite sure where I found it. I think it was a font set, to be honest.

Also, OMG YAY. I just got a job!!! But not just a job--A JOB AT LUSH!!!

Woe to the fucking wicked.

How the ever-loving fuck are single people supposed to get their cars fixed?

Especially people who cannot miss any work, and have no weekdays off until late November.

eta: Whoot! for SA

not your mom's socks.

congrats to auntie VW! Lush-SA! and everyone else because it's Saturday. (obviously, my coffee intake this am is HIGH)

We just popped Iris in the big red wagon and walked about 1/2 mile up to the Trolley Car Diner (through a whole bunch of street construction, but hey!) for an awesome breakfast. She ate scrambled eggs, which is huge. There was a farmers' market we wanted to stop at, but we didn't have any cash, so next week. Plus the Trolley Car Diner gave us 5 milk jugs, so we're making light-up ghosties today for the walk, just as soon as we get some other supplies from Michaels.

go running d! (er, when you wake up....)

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I had asked SA about her tat when she first posted. I like the image, can't wait to see a picture of the tat itself.

Off to get my hair chopped off. The fantastic hairstylist I found is gone, so once again, I'm trying someone new. Wish me luck.
