1. Em cannot be turning 3. I hereby decree that she is not allowed to keep getting older when she doesn't live close enough for me to watch.
2. I am totally procrastinating. I thought I had bought everything I needed for tomorrow, and I just realized that there are a few last items I need to pick up. Blah. Grocery store the day before Thanksgiving. DO NOT WANT.
I made it through the grocery store! you can do it!

Decree so ordered.
Coffee and cigarettes for the Princess! By order of the Empress and...uh...some...chick.
Dear K-Bug is working at TJ's tonight and is not looking forward to the craxy-ness. She said yesterday felt like a weekend day...
Em is almost 3? Unpossible.
Grocery store the day before Thanksgiving.
this horror lies before me too
I'm just stuck teching A Christmas Carol until Midnight. Woo.
Thankfully I get to eat and play Guitar Hero III tomorrow.
Missing Em hard, now.
And yes, we're willing to accept the possibility that the makeup bag was just accidentally left out (there was no "We opened this, love, TSA" note in the bag).
We're also willing to accept the possibility that, despite both of us being utterly convinced we put it in her checked bag (we both remember the same moment of doing so), that we will find the makeup bag waiting for us in the living room.
We get the grand guignol that is my mother's angst tomorrow. With pie. My brother replied to Mom's email of "can we all discuss this" with "no, but if the discussion takes place near me I will stand on the perifery near an exit." His wife said, "I will listen and likely contribute." I plan to have been drinking.

ok, green bean casserole has been made (the initial steps- need to put it together with the topping tomorrow in CT); same with sweet potatoes and its topping of sugar-and-spice pecans. The gravy is always the thing that takes the longest, but that's been reduced and is now cooling.
Also, need to pack. Also, weirdly, need to eat dinner tonight!
This Thanksgiving, I give thanks to a partner who both assists in the kitchen AND does all the cleanup. Also, beer, which makes any cooking experience that much more fun.
Now I just need to exercise the self control to NOT bust into the chocolate bourbon bread pudding and the cranberry-orange corncake that we picked up from the bakery...
WANT.
Scrappy, are you still seeking the green bean casserole recipe? This blogger adapted it, but it's halved... he/she also mentions where he/she deviates from the original recipe. [link]
