very tired already! we have cooked the stuffing (sausage, sage and apple), and the cranberry sauce. The turkey is in the brine. Still need to do sweet potatoes, giblet gravy, and CI's green bean casserole.
But, right now it's break time!
Glad Sean and S got to Houston finally.
How do you decide how much salad to make?
I'm making a pear/roquefort/walnut/endive thing for 8 adults and two children tomorrow. Any quantity insights from the hive mind?
I want Nora's dinner, except that tomorrow we will make the best turkey dressing in the world with cornbread, the way god intended.
Any link to the CI green bean thingie?
Happy birthday to Sparky!
I am at school, reading about collaborative writing and trust for my research paper. I'd rather be baking! We are doing that tonight. Making brown sugar cookies and peppermint bark (white chocolate layered over dark chocolate with crushed candy cane on top - YUM).
Hmmmm...well, for six adults last night we did one bag of greens, 2 pears, a bag of dried cherries, and it was just the right amount. So maybe about double that? That would definitely be more than plenty.
I agree with vw - I would think two bags of salad would enough for 8 people (or two heads of lettuce if you don't want to use a bag).
I want some of GC's peppermint bark. That stuff is awesome. I should drop some hints and have my family bring me some when they come for Christmas.
Peppermint bark is weirdly addictive for something that easy.
(I am posting madly while the family is gone. Otherwise I get the "you're always on the computer" thing. Also, I have to stop talking about you guys. It just confuses my mother.)
Trudy, that salad sound divine!
We're doing a prime rib instead of turkey for my in-laws. I ned to pick up a bottle of cabernet and a garlic bulb this afternoon after we leave the gym.
Does the whirlpool/sauna combo count as a workout? Probably not.
Sounds like a workout to me.
