Except both words can be both parts of speech.
Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Except both words can be both parts of speech.
I use "effect" as a verb all the time. (Properly, that is.) (I probably didn't need to explain that, but I felt that I should.)
You might want to effect some change on your vocabulary there, Teppy.
Would it sound affected if I said I was just coming here to say what Steph said?
You can effect an effect that will affect your affect.
I wonder what the effect of this conversation will be?
I wonder what the effect of this converation will be?
Allison's going to want to kill all of you?
we will all get affectations.
The Crappiest Paper is done. It's printed. It was supposed to be a 1000 word, 5 page paper and it's 1000 words, but the actual paper is only three pages. The cover sheet and references make it 5. The only way to make it 5 actual pages I'd need 600+ more words and that's not happening.
Now I'll have 1 1/2 hours to cram for my test.
Now I'm dizzy from all the affects and effects. The words have lost all meaning.
