Much, better, thanks, Bev. Owen's nearly lost his voice and Liv was up and down all of last night but the worst of the snot monster seems to have passed.
They are still playing and keeping me busy. In fact, I found out that our new DVR/TV remote can be put back together in working condition after a fall of about 10 feet from the top of the staircase to the wood floors below.
need. more. bubble. wrap.

K-Bug is offically on her way home.
Grandpa had reserved the exit row for the three of them, but since K-Bug isn't 18, she can't sit there. She is in the last row, but has a window. She was VERY ok with this change.
I love the online flight updates. I knew her flight was delayed before they announced it at the gate.
Poor K-Bug!
How did the hotel situation end up?
I have internet at the new house, yay! I also have phone and cable, but no phone or tv to plug into them over here. So it goes.
I'm not a snooze button hitter. When I have to get up, I get up, and when I don't, I sleep through the alarm.
One hotel room. I told her to complain, but she put up with it. That girl needs to be more pushy.
I had hoped that having Dad's wife along would make things better, but apparently that made it worse. I haven't gotten the full scoop yet, but I was kinda surprised. I've felt that she kinda balances him out, but I haven't spent an extended period of time with the two of them, so what do I know.
This weekend has been rough. No so much due to the distance, but cause I knew that she wasn't getting what she wanted out of the trip. She did get to Filene's (is that how it is spelled?) and got a great deal on a pair of jeans. And Grandpa bought her a Harvard shirt. No, not one of the school she is interested in.
Oh, that sucks. I'm so sorry. And I'm also sorry I wasn't there to come steal her away for a bit.
gronk {{{bitches}}} emailed sister back. No response yet.
No worries, vw. You did a lot and it was appreciated. Muchly.
Six hours and she will be home. Or at least in the bay area - then it depends on BART getting us home.
Bleah. Going insane. The HR guy I spoke to on Friday said he'd get the formal offer emailed to me today, and with 51 minutes to go I've heard nothing from them. Did they change their minds? Do I ping someone, or does that just make me look needy and desperate? Is this normal, or in fact a bad sign?
