How do people get up and go straight into the shower? My whole family (except me) does this, and I just don't get it. I have to be up for at least an hour before I'm ready for that step.
The right headed approach is to wait a bit and wake up. DH does the wake and walk directly to shower thing too. Don't understand.

I don't understand the people who can get up as soon as the alarm goes off. I have to hit snooze at least three times before I can drag myself out of bed. And that's down from eight or nine snoozes when I was a teenager, so I'm actually pretty proud. Boy can get up and be going as soon as he hears the first beep though.

I can do my waking up in the shower, but not when it's cold out. I have to be able to think well enough to get the water temperature comfortable in the wintertime. Not so critical in the summer - I can apparently avoid scorching myself even half-asleep.

I've recently started waiting until I get to the office to have my first cup of tea. It gives me an extra five minutes in bed. I don't drive though, so my brain doesn't exactly need to be in peak working order.

Shit's all sorts of different now.
I wake up and get right into the shower. Don't have my first smoke until after dropping Em off at school. First coffee once I get to work. From the time I get up to the time I get to work is about an hour and a half.
