It's because you didn't have a strong father figure isn't it?

Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Oh, I do love the Em going to Disneyland picture.

Oh yeah, now that song's gonna be stuck in my head with "Em" replacing "I'm" S'cool though since I like the song.

Though "Em just flipped off president George!" is giving me an image that's cracking me up.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I was thinking of that song as I typed, Daisy! Hee.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I'm surprised he survived the dis and re assembling!

He's not been reassembled. He's still shrink wrapped in the barn.

All lonely.

Surrounded by the books.

Which are in boxes.

If ONLY he could be painted.

This is the Miracleborn picture that made my morning: [link]

I am giggling like a fiend over here. Just FYI.

Mostly lurking...

Ha!

So, my brother's having some trouble with his blog, which he's posting updates on from the hospital. So, I've been helping him figure it out. I called a few minutes ago, and he's like, "Hang on, I'm gonna put you on speaker. A's having a contraction." I don't think my SIL liked that much, 'cause when I just called back, he's like, "I'll call you back."

My brother learns fast.

Trust my rage

Joe, on the phone, in Iraq, while I'm in the middle of a contraction on the other end: Hey - guess who's here? Your old boss! Want to talk to him?

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Matilda's breaking my heart today... (whitefonted for grossness that nobody but a parent needs to read) She's horribly constipated from the switch to cow's milk and is right now full of prunes and mineral oil, and she's in my lap straining and moaning and clutching my hair and ears, and it kills me that I can't do anything to help. It's just going to suck until it's all out, and all I can do is hug her and rub her back. I hate this part.

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

JZ, you can rub her belly, too, to help with that. Start in the lower right side and move clockwise in a circle from that area up to ribs and down to left hip. That follows the large intestine and can help move things along. You can do this a couple of times in a row, especially if she likes it. If you need lubrication on bare skin, try a drop of olive oil on your hands.

Poor Matilda! Ellie had those troubles too when she first started on solid foods. She had pears (they have a milder prunelike effect) for breakfast for mornings. A few times we had to use glycerin suppositories (which worked instantly), which always made me feel a bit bad.
