Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I could really use some take-it-the-right-way ~ma. I just sent a long letter to one of the Board members. It's a very nice letter, but it wasn't without controversy.
She asked us to email her about how we were feeling, and I mostly feel that they made the right choice, but I'm nervous as hell about taking that step.
To put things in perspective, though, she's gotten a crapload of really nasty letters, so mine will probably be a lot nicer to read. I hope.

ETA: WOOT! Go JZ!
My mom and I have decided to pick up some ready-made feastage from Whole Foods and go on a picnic, if the weather's nice, and if the weather doesn't co-operate we will eat at their house, but either way it will not be a Big Deal. I got a pretty good deal in the family lottery.
Tons of right-way~ma to you, Kristin.
JZ - that is just excellent!
Kristin - taking it the right~ma to you.
JZ!! Yay!! \\o/!
K, much taking-it-the-right-way~ma.
Also, I have no plans for T-Day, which is just ducky. M & I have been invited somewhere, and we may or may not go. The only thing I want is food: cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, and stuffing. I can make all of that. I'm perfectly content to stay home and mainline movies, or go out to a movie, or simply Not. Do. Anything.
I did mention I've apparently taken a breather from my usual sort of life, yes?
I just learned that my intimate T-day dinner of favorite uncle (and his girlfriend), boyfriend and housemate has expanded to include my best friend Karen, her 10-week-old, her three-year-old and her husband. I am very pleased with this, since the three-year-old provides constant entertainment. Only sad part is that Sloane doesn't know that one of my dogs has died...and she loved this dog. L-O-V-E-D it to the point that once when I was babysitting, I found Sloane curled up next to Sage on Sage's dog bed. And when it was time to go home, Sloane presented herself at my door, holding a leash, which was attached to Sage. I dunno, thought she could go stealth in stealing my dog.
It's going to be a sad conversation.
I am so ecstatic for JZ! So much to celebrate Sunday night! And I am hoping we'll still be celebrating Suzi's graduation and mom-health goodness.
J, goes without saying that you and M would be welcomed to have T-day with us, too. Lots of stuffing and mashed potatoes. And I made cranberry zinfandel that is fabulous if I do say so myself.
all your d's are belong to me! (er, actually right now to Iris, who is getting a dramatic reading of Miss Spider's Tea Party). She brought yummy wine.
And, I can touch my toes.
Also - commando-training news:pants: 1! undies: 1! !!!
{{{Aimee}}} It's all been said, so I'll just offer hugs.
GO JZ! I hope you get to choose between two amazing packages.
I am, it seems, stuck in Chicago. Yay wireless. Boo being sleepy and crabby.
The ~ma, it is powerful. Today's job interview went swimmingly, and when I got back yesterday's place called to say they'll be emailing me an offer package by Monday.
YAY!!!
I don't have any plans for Thanksgiving (other than not repeating last year's puke fest), and I'm kind of looking forward to it, even though I will miss the LA people.
