Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Trust my rage

I'm having a niece! So excited!

I'm with JZ wrt the sparks. Joe and I had sparks but our relationship was complicated in the beginning and he's the only spark guy that didn't totally mess me up. I often compare the spark boys to drugs.

The status is NOT quo.

I felt crazy chemistry with ND from the first time I met him, but I shoved it away into a corner of my mind until much later when a relationship was actually possible.

That spark was definitely there from the start, but he's one of the only people I've ended up with that way. Most of the boys and girls that made me go all weak-kneed ended up being extremely bad for me.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

It makes me wonder - I see a lot of personals ads by women that say, "chemistry is important" or "essential" or something. I tend to avoid responding to those ads based on previous experience.

Then there was the woman I went on a date with (we'd corresponded online and talked on the phone a few times so we knew each other fairly well)... she said she wanted to start out as friends. Then after the one date she had lost interest because there had been "no chemistry." So I was confused for a bit - I had assumed those two possibilities would be mutually exclusive, or nearly so.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

DH and I had chemistry from the outset, but there was as much friendship chemistry as the physical kind. We could talk for hours and hours and write each other 10-page letters several times per week (we were living in different towns in England that year and didn't have regular internet access, so these were actual handwritten letters--I have them all stored safely away in a box).

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Ha! Ginger, she has that Sherlock Holmes set (are there two of them? because I think she has two...). She is hard to buy for because she researches and buys everything. Argh!

That UGA DVD is a great find! Totally up my Dad's alley.

On my way over to UCLA just now I saw a disturbing motorcycle accident. The guy's bike was pretty far away from where he was but the opposite direction of where it would be if he flew off of it. It was like he crashed and then walked back up the freeway before collapsing. Yikes. I hope he's alright. Y'all motorcycle peeps be careful. Those things scare me to death.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Chemistry is not always the best place to judge things. but i like brains before looks, and sometimes brains take a while to show. The most obvious chemistry I had with someone - was with a guy that was fun, but not for life. and chemistry doesn't always survive the bumps . And even when the chemistry is strong - life circumstances can bury it for awhile - a good solid like can bring it back with a vengence

Best of luck Fay

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Ginger, she has that Sherlock Holmes set (are there two of them? because I think she has two...).

There's a two-volume set for the short stories and one volume for the novels. The novels one came out later. I don't own it yet because it seemed like the kind of thing I can ask my family for. That's my Christmas dilemma. Not only do I not know what to get my mother and sister, I don't know what I want and they're harassing me for a list.

I heard about the Larry Munson thing on the radio. I would not otherwise know about it, but it's kind of hard to escape UGA in Georgia.

I mistrust the concept of chemistry, even though my ex was a love at first sight. That went really well before it went really badly, so I don't know if there's a lesson there. I rarely have instant chemistry with anyone.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

I'm. So. Fucking. Tired.

And I'm not sleeping well when I try to do so. And having fucked up, bad, scary dreams.

And I have a shitload of things to do today. Ugh.
