[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Good luck Suzi!

I'm having a strange day. Not really bad strange, just...I don't know.

After months of leaving L alone, exH has started up with the nasty passive agressive emails again. Lil'est sis is stressing about getting back to Louisiana next month (which is a whole nother thing. I think LS and I won't be able to be there for Christmas, but we're all trying to make it for LB's birthday celebration which has me dwelling on his death), and we're thinking about foregoing Christmas presents all together and just getting everybody home.

Then, I got a kind of upsetting answer on a survey thingie a friend, who ok I used to date, but it was a long time ago. Anyway, the question was, "What was the saddest time in your life," and it was apparently my breaking up with him. I know everybody hurts somebody, but I feel really badly about it.

Lastly, there's this trip, and my friend who is meeting me there and then jetting off to Rome has all these questions, and sure they're good questions, but they're making me nervous about this trip.

Ok. No more mememe.

Why would he put something like this on something he knew you'd see? asshole.

I have no patience for anyone today. And am grinding my teeth into nubbins.

When is your trip?

I think it's a big trip and so nervousness is completely normal. That doesn't mean you won't have a fantastic time!

d, you can do it! Also, if you feel you need to walk the extra .5 on Saturday, do that.

Yes, this!! GO, d!!! I'm trying to start running again and have promised a friend I'd do a 5-mile race with him in Dec. In a month. Yikes!! I'm sure I'll end up walking most of it. Which is cool for me.

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

lisah, the Celtic one in Baltimore? My friend and I are contemplating that one too! I will just go to do same day race, I think, and not sign up in advance. Druid Hills sounds like loads of fun, though!

Thanks for the pep talk, guys. I'm trying to mix in some walking with the running already. I still get to under 14 min miles, but man do I want to just give up sometimes.

I don't think he thought I'd feel badly about it. We've talked about it before, and while I knew it was painful, I didn't know it was that bad. I've had really messy, awful painful breakups, but they've not been my saddest time ever.

When is your trip?

I leave Sunday. This Sunday. The 18th.

::begins freaking out again::

Raisin Bran:

DJ, sorry you are feeling all angsty. I agree with lisah, it seems mean for him to answer that question that way if he's sending it back to you.

Also, I think you'll really enjoy your trip!

Yes!!! It's a pretty great race. although, historically, cold as eff. Plus it's pretty hilly. But they have the best shirts, also historically.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

catching up ...

Cass, if the futon continues to attack, threaten it with FIRE.

And, I found this very appropriate.
