Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

((vw & fam))

Heh. Yeah. I concur. (as would Hec and JZ)

Excellent notion! Why didn't I think of it before? Party at my place this weekend! We can polish off the plum/cinnamon Stolly and...

sighs. makes out with tumbleweed.

Bangkok: where Buffistas are few and far between.

Bangkok...See, as place names go, this one's all about the irony. At least in the world of me.

Anyway, I'm not here. It's quarter past eleven and I'm asleep. Sleeping. Yessireebob. Sleeping, that's me.

Mostly lurking...

Grammar question. What are words that sound the same but are spelled differently called?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Homonyms.

Thank you! I was having a total blank.

From Wikepedia:

The state of being a homonym is called homonymy

I just love the word homonymy. I must try to work it into everyday conversation.

Punishingly Intricate

The new restaurant near me has fried hominy on the menu. Reportedly muy delicioso.

The status is NOT quo.

{{{vw and Gram}}}

I came in here to say something and have no idea what it was. Huh.

ETA: Oh yeah!

Heh. Yeah. I concur. (as would Hec and JZ)

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I just talked with a guy who might have an internal job op for me. This is the guy who wanted to meet with me next week, but that is going to be delayed a bit.

Anyway, he sounded very interested and has gotten a bunch of very positive recommendations from others about me.

One of his ideas was to move me to a cube closer to the one other person in this office who does the work I want to do. Makes sense, right?

Well, some of you may recall I moved cubes a few months ago and had to displace someone in the process. Well, the most logical cube for me to go into is the one where that displaced person got moved. So I may end up bumping that person twice. Ummm, sorry?

Next time I talk with this manager I'm going to be more assertive about asking if this is a new position or if I'd still be in my current group but working for him or what he sees as happening there - follow-ed up with salary type questions.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Go, Suzi! Very exciting stuff.

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

Grandma-ma, vw.

I just finished my 3 mile run. I really wish I hadn't needed to skip 2 weeks of training. Man is this challenging to do. Thursday is only 2 miles. I can do that. Sunday, the long run, I might keep at 4 miles instead of 4.5. Also, I need to stop being an idiot and just go ahead an schedule a massage for myself. Or at least try to work on them again myself.
