Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I'm picturing an apartment full of hydroponic marijuana.

Laga said what I was thinking.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Suzi, I think the Husband Card is a good one to play here. Let him be the hard-ass "K-Bug just can't miss X, Y, and Z". Its WHY people get married, I think its in the vows...

It's not iPod color. Like Laga said, its the whole point of the trip.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

And what my boss is thinking.

Aimee, give her the 72 hours notice. Then sit on the lawn with a camera and take pictures of the guy trying to move stuff out before you get there and see he's moved in.

Suzi, I'm sorry your father is making his gift so difficult to accept.

In my family news: One of my sister's best friends from college has started emailing my Mom with pointed questions about the asshate husband. Apparently my sister said some stuff in an email that's got the friend concerned. I'm blown away by how thoughtful this friend is, to go out of her way to make sure Meg's OK. But then I remember how sweet she always was and I'm not that surprised.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Hundred bucks, Suzi, plus any difference in the fare. Don't know if that would apply for both legs, or if they'd hit you twice, though.

FWIW, we're excited for you. And we also realize that the scheduling is a big deal for K-bug. It's not something you shift by a day without checking.

Thanks everyone. I'm trying to calm down now. I might just make the call to him myself. I'm pushing 40. I should be able to stand up for myself and my family.

What is funny, with my dad, is that he HAD called to see about switching weekends and we had reiterated that this was the only weekend she could go and it coincided with the open house. Last I had heard from him was that he was going to get them all on that red eye. No clue what changed.

Thrive to spite them

I made a mistake at work. It's going to mean a lot of paperwork and it was breaking regulations. But I didn't know it at the time.

I have to talk to Big Boss about this, but it's frustrating. We haven't filled the position of her assistant (who was my supervisor) and I have people coming to me because I'm the face they know about issues I'm not qualified to handle. Some people haven't been listening when I've told them that.

This problem is just something that I didn't know because I'm not trained to do the things I'm being sort of asked to do.

Thrive to spite them

I'm also on day three of no caffiene and it's been relatively easy, no headaches, but I miss drinking something in the morning. A Sierra Mist Free in the morning isn't the same.
