That's a shame. I'm so sorry.
Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Laura, I'm so sorry.
Darcy got in a good one before she left us though.
When I was out at Mom's this weekend I found out her neighbor's dog had gone missing. Joey is eight or nine and his Darla had been goine for three days. Since it is in no way a rural area we were pretty sure she'd been hit by a car. I kept saying "Darcy found her way back, and she was hurt".
My sister heard dog whimpering at two in the morning, grabbed a leash and ran outside with no shoes. Darla was home! She wouldn't let my sister leash her and my sister banged on the neigbors door until the light came on.
Joey opened the door and Darla flung herself into his arms. She's unhurt, just eating a lot.
Darcy's return gave us all a little hope. I'm so sorry she didn't make it, but at least she got home to her people before she passed.
Oh Laura, I'm sorry.
I came to post some "good" news. I just got the following news report...
The Alameda and Oakland Police Departments say multiple arrest and search warrants were served Tuesday in relation to the shooting death of an Alameda teenager. Officials say the warrants are the result of an investigation into the murder of 15-year-old Ichinkhorloo Bayarsaikhan that happened Halloween night.
{{{Darcy and her family}}} Rest in peace, beautiful friend.
Laga, you'd think our motivations would at least have the decency to send us a postcard or something.
Suzi, glad to hear that steps are being taken down the path of justice.
One added unfortunate part of this whole unfotunately mess is that with the "Oakland police" involved in those arrests, it would appear that the perps were from Oakland. So now our town is going to be even more us/them. Geeesh.
Glad to hear it Suzi.
Sweet Darcy. I'm glad you got to come home.
I'm sorry, Laura.
I keep trying to type something about Darcy and then finding words are inadequate for the loss of a pet but I'm going to try anyway. Darcy: I'm sure you were a good dog. I shed a tear for you. Now, free!

I just told someone that she couldn't, under any circumstances, submit my name to a nominating board. It was probably the smartest thing I've done in a long time.
Thanks all for the hugs and kind words. She was indeed a good girl. She had a good life and brought us all lots of joy.
