Lydia: But you are a vampire. Spike: If I'm not, I'm gonna be pissed about drinking all that blood.

Spike's Bitches 38: Well, This Is Just...Neat.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm a chatty Yankee, although 27 years in Florida have had an impact. I was shocked, and not in a good way, when I first moved to Virginia and encountered attitudes in the South that I hadn't realized weren't fiction.

Got an update from my sister.

Dr. did xrays on Darcy and found that there was no pelvic fracture. Instead the damage was where the chest and back plates meet. They are very concerned that there is spinal cord injury. They are waiting until the anesthesia wears off to do some addtioinal tests this afternoon. They will call again around 3:00 with an update.

The next step would be a neurologist surgeon. They are consulting with him by phone now to get his thoughts.

Her condition is guarded. Not good at all for a full recovery.

Not giving up quite yet, but it is looking very poorly. I'll update you when I know more.

Eeep. Poor puppy. Mona (my sister) is beside herself, but doing better than when she was missing.

Hee.

Speaking of football fans, did you see LSU/Alabama?

I swear Les Miles had a meeting with the team after the V Tech game and said "You know, this year's just not exciting enough for the Janes. Let's see if we can't give them heart attacks every Saturday."

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Yankee

I was raised with Yankee being negative. Also Clemson. My Dad's a die-hard Georgia Bulldogs fan! "How 'bout them Dawgs???" Hahahahahaha!

I guess I mostly identify with being Californian.

Parts of it. I was rooting for y'all, of course.

I just realized that I'll be on a plane coming back from Oklahoma during Bama/Auburn this year. If I'd been paying attention when DH bought the tickets, I would've insisted on returning a day earlier or later, but normally they play the weekend before Thanksgiving. Of course, normally Thanksgiving isn't so early.

Always Anti-fascist!

I would totally count OK as cultural South because my grandfather was from there and ate pig's feet and said "Fixin' to," and "right yet" but it's not geographic South.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

My people said "fixin' to" and "crick" and "I'll swan," -- there's some linguistic overlap between south and deep midwest.
