Joseph Steinberg, a Yiddish variety performer, lived happily with his wife in the couple’s South Brooklyn home. At least that’s what all the neighbors thought. Although the couple lived as man and wife for at least a few years, it seems that Mrs. Steinberg is actually married to a man by the name of Rubin Mandel, who is suing Steinberg for the sum of $20,000 for having stolen his wife. Steinberg was also arrested and held on $1,000 bail on Mandel’s accusations. As of yet, no one has appeared to pay the actor’s bail.

It’s seems that when Mrs. Cohen was a girl in Russia, she fell in love with a mysterious Mr. Lapin, a man of whom the Cohen girl’s parents did not approve. A few years later, she married Michael Cohen and moved to America, where she gave birth to four children. Things were fine between the Cohens until last Thursday, when Michael came home from work to find four hungry children sitting in the dark. His wife was nowhere to be found, nor were the family’s lifesavings and jewelry. After an arrest warrant was issued, it was discovered that the mysterious Mr. Lapin had shown up in New York and Mrs. Cohen had run off with him.

It really was a one-shot silly pic, not intended for all this work. It's possible someone originally made it mocking people who dress up in costumes, but I'm proud of the alternate to average people out there, so I'm claiming the photo as positive.
