Pure, unadulterated determination.
Man, I was hoping for drugs. I don't think they write prescriptions for this "determination" stuff.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

If they do, you know insurance won't cover it. Not 'til it comes in generic.

I've decided to try and see if I could become a home owner. The answer so far I've found is, only if I want to live in the student area in a "condo" that, until last year, was a 1 bedroom apartment. Or in a really shady section of town.
Seems like the new trend here is to take apartment complexes and turn them into "condos" and overprice them. I can count about 10 complexes in town that I know this has happened to or is happening. And no one in town builds apartments for normal poeple, the choice is all inclusive student stuff or super expensive.
He suggested I approach my land lady about selling the house I'm renting to me when the time comes. It's currently attached to the house next door, and so I don't know what it's worth. But I'm sure they'll want at least $30K more than I can afford. (The property is technically owned by my landlady's mother who is very old and in assisted living, and may not live long).
Or I could move out of town to one of the smaller areas. But at least now I know where I stand and I can start working towards saving money for down payments for something.
juliana, I think you confused kinda cute with incredibly hot.
DC went condo-crazy - they've been going up all over town. And ALL of them are "luxury" condos. I saw an ad with floor plan last week for a smallish one-bedroom condo, no windows in the living room, going for $250K.
