I started my morning by fumbling for the cell phone to turn the alarm off, knocking it off the nightstand, desperately reaching over the side of the bed in a vain attempt to grab it, losing my balance, and falling off the bed. As I lay pathetically on the floor, the Indiana Jones song continued to mock me from under the nightstand.

On the plus side, I'm really awake. Bruised, but awake.

I slept 13 hours last night. It was wonderful.

And I was happy with my 9.5. Still, a night with plenty of sleep is just such a wonderful thing.

I sent Ellie to preschool today in her penguin costume. She really likes it - she and Joe have been watching Surf's Up together and she likes penguins anyway. She looks totally cute, although I can't share any pictures yet as they are trapped on my caerma. I wish I had the wi-fi thing mentioned in tech yesterday.

Well, in my defense, I only got four hours (on a plane) the night before. So, 13 was really needed :).

I'm going out to my parents' to watch the kiddies out by them tonight. They're in a neighborhood that gets TONS of kids. I'm gonna wear my witch hat and make Toto wear his too. It should be much fun.
